This completed project involved stripping back the existing unit to create a clean, clear and open space for a new specialist cheese shop for artisan cheesemonger George Mewes Ltd. New refrigeration plant was installed to allow the entire shop to be temperature controlled with a large walk in fridge for colder temperatures if required. This was used as a feature with its viewing window to separate the private wholesale area from the customer area. A long low and simple island counter completes the space and allows all the cheese to be displayed to maximum effect.
